It’s officially summertime in Gilbert, and that means it’s time to cool off at one of our many public pools or splash pads! These facilities are a great way to beat the heat, and most of them are free or very affordable. We’ve listed the hours of operation below, but remember that they may fluctuate, so be sure to check before you go.
Water Tower Plaza
Daily Hours: 5:30 AM – 10:00 PM
The Water Tower Plaza splash pad is the perfect place for kids to enjoy some summer fun. With interactive water features and a beautiful grassy area for picnics, this is a great spot to spend a few hours. You’re also only a few short steps away from 2 of Gilbert’s best ice cream shops, Creamistry and Petersen’s Ice Cream!
San Tan Village Splash Pad
Daily Hours: 9 AM – 6 PM
This splash pad is a kid’s paradise on a hot summer day. The water features and children’s play area are shaded and surrounded by misters so they can have fun and play without worrying about the hot sun. There are also plenty of places to shop and eat, so don’t worry if you happen to forget the snacks at home!
Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center

For some serious family fun, visit the Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center. Adults and kids can enjoy the two waterslides, lazy river, 725-gallon tumble bucket, the spray pad, and family-friendly pool with zero-depth entry!
Greenfield Pool
Monday-Friday: 1-4:30pm
Saturdays: 11am-4pm
Sundays: Closed
Looking for a smaller pool? Beat the heat at Greenfield pool or get in some laps in the cool water! This facility features lap lanes, water sprinklers, tumble buckets, a kiddie slide, and plenty of room for swimming.
Perry Pool
Monday-Friday: 1pm-4pm
Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sunday: Closed
Perry Pool is another great option for those looking to escape the heat. With a large splash pad, kiddie play area, tumble buckets, and plenty of space to swim, this is a perfect spot for the entire family to cool off and have some fun.
Mesquite Aquatic Center
Monday-Friday: 1–6 PM
Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sunday: Closed
The Mesquite Aquatic Center is a great place to spend a summer day. With a large pool, water slides, refreshing play mushrooms, and great snacks at the concession stand, it’s another perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy.
Williams Field Pool
Monday-Friday: 1–6 PM
Saturday: 11am-4pm
Sunday: Closed
The Williams Field Pool is a great place to swim, splash, and have some fun in the sun. There’s a zero-depth area for the little ones, a large pool for swimming and splashing around, and some great play features for the kids to enjoy.
