We here at Thrive Coworking for Women are a little bit obsessed with personality tests and we’ve likely taken some version of every popular quiz that’s out there. Here are a few favorites that offer interesting insight into everything from nature and identity to world view and emotional intelligence.
This is basically the free version of the famous Myers-Briggs test and is based on Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung’s study of psychological traits, like introversion vs. extroversion. 16 Personalities covers the main personality attributes of humans—mind, energy, nature, tactics and identity—and covers important themes like workplace habits as well as strengths and weaknesses.
The Enneagram personality test is incredibly trendy right now and for good reason. Basically, it’s a quiz that’s built around a system of nine personality types, and it’s a little different than most because it focuses mostly on how you, as an individual, conceptualize the world and manage your emotions. It also shows how each Enneagram type relates to one another, and offers an interesting lens into world views, behaviors and opportunities for personal development.
This personality quiz, often used by human resources professionals and businesses conducting new job interviews, measures a candidate’s primary traits based on four personality types: Dominant, Influential, Steady and Compliant. It’s meant to offer insight into an employee’s professional behavior style and ability to work as part of a team.
Berkeley Emotional Intelligence
Easy, fast and fun, Berkeley’s free emotional intelligence test asks you to recognize and analyze 20 facial expressions. The purpose? To help you learn how well you “read” other people (and their emotions!), a skill critical to success in business because it’s vital to assessing and alleviating conflict.
