Let’s talk about that voice in your head.
Not the one that cheers you on (though she deserves more airtime)–we mean the other one. The one that whispers, “Who do you think you are?” when you go to raise your hand. The one that says, “You’re not ready yet,” every time you dare to dream a little bigger.

Here’s the truth: You’re not missing anything. You’re not behind. You’re not underqualified. You already have what you need. That confidence you’ve been trying to build? It’s not something you have to go out and find. It’s something you unlock.
Confidence isn’t built. It’s remembered.
We tend to think of confidence as something external–something we earn after we’ve proven ourselves, something reserved for people with louder voices, bigger titles, or fancier resumes.
But here’s what we’ve seen over and over at Thrive:
– When women are in spaces that feel safe, supported, and seen, their confidence starts to surface.
– It doesn’t appear out of nowhere–it’s been there all along.
What holds most women back isn’t a lack of ability. It’s a lifetime of being taught to wait for permission. To be “ready.” To not be too much.
We’re calling BS on all of it.
3 Ways to Reclaim the Confidence That’s Already Yours
1. Interrupt the narrative.
That voice in your head? It’s not always telling the truth. It’s often your brain trying to keep you safe by staying small. So give that voice a name. (We call ours “Debbie Doubt.”) When she pipes up, say, “Thanks for the input, Deb, but I’ve got this.”
Want to practice this daily? Try journaling with this prompt:
– What would I do today if I believed I was already enough?
– Write the answer. Then do one thing from it.
2. Borrow belief until yours kicks in.
Surround yourself with people who see your potential–even when you don’t. That’s the magic of community. When you say “I don’t know if I can,” and someone replies, “I know you can,” you start to believe it, too.
That’s why Thrive exists. To be a space where women build each other up without competition, comparison, or pretense.
3. Take brave micro-actions.
Confidence grows in the doing. It doesn’t require giant leaps. It starts with one small action that says, “I’m choosing belief over fear.”
Need a nudge? Try:
- Speaking up in one meeting.
- Raising your rates by 5%.
- Reaching out to someone you admire for a virtual coffee.
- Signing up to lead a Thrive workshop on something you know best.
None of these actions require perfection. They just require motion.
Ready to tap into what’s already inside you?
You don’t need a new course, a certification, or 10 more years of experience.
– You need reminders.
– You need community.
– You need momentum.
We’ve got all three.
