Thrive Member Spotlight: Jasmine Swier

June 25, 2025

Member Introduction

Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background and what you do?

My name is Jasmine Swier, and I’m a Registered Dietitian and the founder of Building Blocks Nutrition, a private practice focused on supporting women through every stage of motherhood. I started my business about two years ago with a mission to provide holistic, evidence-based care from preconception through pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric nutrition. I also specialize in women’s health and hormone balance, with a strong emphasis on helping women and mothers nourish themselves as a powerful form of self-care.

I’m a mom to two young children, ages 3.5 and 1.5, and they’ve been a huge inspiration behind building a career that offers flexibility, fulfillment, and impact. I’ve been blessed with an amazing support system and great mom friends that mean the world to me and make mom-life so much more doable especially owning my own business. My husband and I met in the Peace Corps in Zambia in 2013, and we’ve now been together for over a decade. I hold a master’s degree in human nutrition and have worked in both clinical and community settings before launching my own practice.

Outside of work, I love traveling, reading (especially Romantasy novels), being outdoors, and collecting sports cards. I’m obsessed with all things food, both the nourishment and the joy it brings. What Brought Them to Thrive

What initially drew you to join Thrive, and how did you hear about it?

I first heard about Thrive from my good friend Amy McConnell at East Valley Moms. We both had a Friday free from our usual kid-filled schedules and decided to check out one of Thrive’s free coworking days. That first visit completely shifted the way I approached working outside the home.

As someone who often works from home, it can be tough to stay focused. I’d find myself distracted by housework, tempted to nap, or overwhelmed by my never-ending to-do list. Walking into Thrive gave me a physical and mental reset. It offered the structure I needed to prioritize my work, tune out the distractions, and finally gain momentum on projects that had been lingering on my list.

Experience at Thrive

How has your experience been so far at Thrive, and what aspects do you enjoy the most?

Thrive has quickly become one of my favorite spaces to work. It’s a beautiful, welcoming environment that helps me stay focused and inspired. I love the natural light, the thoughtful layout, and the flexibility of being able to choose different seating areas depending on the type of work I’m doing. It feels like a blend of comfort and professionalism that is hard to find.

What I enjoy most is how productive I feel when I’m there. Whether I’m seeing clients, writing handouts, or working on new class content, Thrive allows me to be fully present and efficient. And as a bonus, the cold brew on tap is amazing. As a coffee lover and someone who got engaged at Peixoto Coffee, that little perk means a lot.

Staying on Track with Work

How does Thrive help you stay on track with your work and professional goals?

While most of my client sessions are virtual, much of my behind-the-scenes work such as writing, program development, and partnerships requires long, uninterrupted stretches of time. That is incredibly hard to come by when working from home with young children. Thrive has been a game-changer in giving me the focused time I need to follow through on bigger goals.

I’ve been able to write e-books, collaborate with other local providers, and build out new educational resources. These are all things that had been sitting on the backburner until I had the space to truly focus. Thrive is more than just a workspace. It is a supportive community of driven, like-minded women. Being surrounded by other women pursuing their goals with passion and purpose is both motivating and refreshing.
