Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your background and what you do?
Hi! I’m Jaci (like Jackie! Thanks mom 
). In my 30s, as a stay-at-home mom, I decided to go back to school to get my masters in accounting. I had no idea why I felt so called to the accounting field, at that time, but I followed my gut anyways! I finished my masters degree, went to work in public accounting and passed all of my CPA exams. Recently, I decided it was time to jump off the ledge and open my own accounting firm for better work-life balance. I now have the privilege of working 1:1 with other female business owner’s to help them with the accounting and business advisory – as a fractional CFO. I now wake up every day feeling SO incredibly blessed that this is where my journey has led me!
What Brought Them to Thrive
What initially drew you to join Thrive, and how did you hear about it?
I like to meet with my clients, in person, whenever it’s an option. As a virtual business, though, it was difficult to find appropriate public spaces to discuss private financial matters. Each virtual office I tried felt outdated, stuffy and uncomfortable – which are not the feelings I wanted to associate with my services. Someone sent me the Thrive website when I complained about this issue on social media and I immediately fell in love.
Experience at Thrive
How has your experience been so far at Thrive, and what aspects do you enjoy the most?
Thrive quickly became one of my favorite places to be. I absolutely love the vibe, the decor, the fresh sunlight and the community. The space creates a feeling that can’t be beat and the women are inspiring! I feel at my best when I’m surrounded by the best! It’s a win-win-win, as Michael Scott would say.
Staying on Track with Work
How does Thrive help you stay on track with your work and professional goals?
I’m a huge advocate for hyper-focused work time. As a mom who juggles a million things, Thrive gives me the space to focus and get to work, without the distractions from home. I’m not thinking about the laundry or the grocery list when I’m there. I’m able to accomplish a whole day’s worth of professional work in just a few hours. Since becoming a member, I’ve tripled my business revenue and hired a full-time employee as a result of my hyper-focused work time at Thrive.
Message to Current Members
What advice or message would you like to share with your fellow Thrive members?
If you are a business owner and something’s not working, be willing to pivot. Try new things or get some professional guidance. Your financial reports can tell you a lot about what’s working and what’s not! It’s not always the most fun to look at, but I promise it will be worth it!
